Dennis Hlynsky, 3D Maya work and Video Examples

Here are examples of my work in 3D animation and Video made since late spring of 2006. I try to post a new image every couple of days. Most works are produced using Maya, Photoshop, Avid, and After Effects. Many are silent as they are parts of larger works or parts of works in progress.

I have begun adding tutorials to this collection. In the spring of 2006 I began to challange myself to make things I had been avoiding. the Raven movie involved a few weeks of figuring wings study. Babes and the upper images, started as a project with my son and was also made in the summer of 2006. In July of 2006 I began working on my head build. There are some Tutorials. After the heads this page becomes a Daily Log of what I have been doing in my studio.

The Movies have been compressed gently to preserve quality and will take time to download. With DSL line they will take between 30 sec and 2 min.

Compression is H264 so the movies are lacking contrast.

I wanted to make some tutorials for people just starting out in 3D. These thumbs are a kind of blog to show the process of developing a workflow. During the summer I made ears every day. Many I started and never finished. The aim was to develop a fast teachable workflow. I thought I had a good tutorial at ear 30; by ear 57 the workflow stopped evolving.
